Origan Village has a beautiful natural setting in a large and spacious site filled with pine trees, streams and spectacular views. There are a number of different types of self-catering chalets, mobile homes and tents for holiday rental. Dramatic mountain views surround the site which overlooks the large winding River Var in the valley beneath. There is a naturist hike that takes you through the forest above the site (about 7km) as well as an opportunity for a naturist walk down to an area of the River Var where you can skinny dip.

The focal point of the resort – aside from the fantastic scenery wherever you go – is the swimming pool complex overlooked by the restaurant. There are three pools – in addition to the main heated pool, there is a paddling pool for children and another with it’s own water slide.

It is situated about 60km north of Nice and the Côte D’Azur.

Please note that Origan Village is not suitable for those with reduced mobility.

Local Area

The town of Puget-Theniers is around 2km drive from the site. This small traditional village is a typically French style with a river running through its squares and narrow streets, with cafes, restaurants and a Sunday market. There is a railway station with good connections and also a steam train that runs every week taking tourists from Puget-Theniers to Annot and back.

The awe-inspiring medieval village at Entrevaux is a ‘must-see’ experience just 10 minutes drive from Origan. It’s for anyone who likes the idea of a charming village that could come straight from a film set with its own fortress built under King Louis XIV in 1860. Access is via a large footbridge where you enter through an archway with its own watch towers, into winding alleyways shaded by tall narrow houses, squares, drawbridges and ramparts.  Walking is plentiful and splendid in the whole area and for just 3 euros you can enter the Citadel which is built into the side of a narrow rocky spur and girded by the River Var.

Away from Origan Nice, Monaco, Cannes and Grasse (the perfume capital of France) are reachable. For those with transport, Perfumerie Galimard, a factory with free guided tours, museum, and shop lies between Nice and Monaco.
