Our group holidays programme – many of them exclusively for British Naturism members – is very popular. Perhaps it’s the fact that a leader takes care of it all, including daily activities and entertainment. Perhaps the company of like-minded people, or the discounted prices available. It might be the variety of resorts to choose from across the year. Whatever it is, we’ll be pleased to book you in.

Trips, activities and group gatherings are arranged, some attracting an additional cost.

Don’t forget, for those who’d like to share accommodation and cut the cost, we will do our best to find you a sharing partner.

Although the dates for the group holidays are fixed, you can extend your holiday before and/or after if you wish.

Like the look of a British Naturism members’ holiday, but not a member? No problem – it is easy and inexpensive to join!

March 2019 - Austria

The BN Members’ group Winter Activity holiday

9th – 16th March 2019

Ramsau/Schladming, Austria

We are delighted to announce that we are returning to Austria for our third winter activity group holiday. Read a report of our 2018 trip.

Once again our base will be the 14 room Landhaus Luhrmann, a family-run hotel built in traditional Austrian style. Open all year round but not usually 100% Naturist, Chalfont Holidays have secured exclusive use for one week only meaning nudity will be permitted anywhere inside the building and also the adjoining rear garden. Accommodation will be on a half-board basis and all meals are freshly prepared on the premises. Hotel facilities include a Naturist spa with swimming pool, two saunas and a steam room.

Situated in the area of Ramsau am Dachstein and Schladming in the Styria region of Austria, Landhaus Luhrmann is approximately 90 minutes from Salzburg airport by road or rail.

This is not just a traditional ‘skiing’ holiday, the area has so much more to offer and there are plenty of other things to do if you are not a skier:

  • The area is renowned for its cross country skiing routes, around 200km of varying difficulty, some of them within walking distance of the hotel.
  • Walkers are well catered for with many well-signposted paths, some meandering through silent forests, with crisp white virgin snow everywhere.
  • The town of Schladming – a popular winter sports centre – also has an old town with pretty shops, bars and cafés to explore.
  • At the top of the Dachstein mountain, accessed by cable car, there is a glacier, an ice palace and a suspension bridge where you can walk across the edge of the mountain. With nothing beneath your feet but the open metal structure and thousands of feet drop beneath, you will see some spectacular views.

If downhill skiing is your reason for going, opportunities are of course plentiful and you can choose from pistes of all difficulties across four peaks, with links to further areas to explore beyond. The start points are all between 15 and 20 minutes from the hotel and daily transport will be provided. Ski equipment is easily hired just five minutes away from the hotel.

In addition, there will be a variety of group activities, entertainment and excursions which are likely to include dinner in a local restaurant with Austrian dishes, folk singing and dancing; Horse and Sleigh ride; tutored wine tasting in the cellar of the hotel, by hotel owner Hansmartin; night tobogganing; quizzes and karaoke.

NB – bookings must be made before the end of November 2018 to ensure this trip goes ahead. We will be asking all those who book for a smaller deposit than usual which will be fully refunded in the event that the trip is cancelled.
