For those who may like a partly textile holiday, there are four very good quality hotels in Tenerife offering some naturist facilities.
Of these four naturist friendly hotels, pricewise the best value value is offered by the Hotel Magec in the centre of Puerto de la Cruz in the north of the island. Puerto de la Cruz is a quieter and more traditionally Spanish town than Las Americas. It does not enjoy quite such hot weather as the south of the island.
Hotel Magec is part of a large hotel complex of 3 hotels joined together, with lots and lots of entertainment and activities. The Hotel Magec has a "nudist zone" on its ninth floor, the roof top. This is a good sized area surrounded by a screen of opaque glass with about 45 sunbeds and tables. The roof-top pool is one level lower and here it is necessary to wear a costume but not necessarily a top.
These town centre hotels have another linked hotel, the Puerto Palace, which is under the same management, on the outskirts of the town. Here there is also a nudist sun-bathing terrace but with a nudist pool, showers and jacuzzi. A free courtesy bus operates between the hotels, and guests in one are welcome to use the facilities of the other.
