A Holiday on the Suzi Anna

I had always wanted to take one of those naturist sailing boat holidays that are advertised in BN, and now we were off to Turkey to take part in a nude sailing adventure on the Suzi Anna. Although the flight to Turkey arrives some six hours after take-off, it is in reality only a four hour trip. You get the two hours back on the way home! We appreciated the superior comfort of the Excel Airways plane, which lived up to its reputation of being just that bit more roomy than the average charter plane. On landing, like all visitors to Turkey, we had to queue up to buy a visa, for which you are recommended to have a clean £10 note to speed up the process. My friend from the USA was upset to find she had to pay $100 instead of my £10 - discrimination! Anyway we paid up and headed out of the terminal into the hot sunshine, and suddenly out of the chaos appeared John and Liz with their sign for the Suzi Anna. Quickly we got our luggage to their car and we were off on the two hour drive to Marti Marina, passing the popular tourist resort of Marmaris on the way. The journey was broken by a stop at a store for some refreshments and where we were invited to buy some drinks for the trip, like wine for meal times or beer for those relaxing moments or whatever tipple we felt we might want.

Eventually we reached the Marti Marina and made our first acquaintance with the Suzi Anna, and a very good looking boat she is. We were shown to our surprisingly spacious cabin, and given a quick tour of the boat, and lots of useful information, like how to operate the loo, and various safety precautions. It was well on into the evening by now, and Liz had prepared a delicious supper for us. After the meal we took a quick tour of the marina, and then, tired after our journey, we headed for bed and were lulled to sleep by the lapping of the waves and the gentle motion of the boat at her moorings.

Next morning we awoke to the sound of the boat's engine, and by the time we were on deck, we were heading out to sea, leaving the marina behind us. When we were out into the gulf John said we didn't need clothes any longer, and soon we were enjoying the warm morning sunshine, and starting work on that all-over tan. This wasn't to be a long trip, and soon we were putting down the anchor in a remote cove which we had all to ourselves ... and after a brief swim in the warm and crystal clear waters, breakfast was served.

Later we went ashore and scrambled up the rocky hillside where we were rewarded with magnificent views of the Suzi Anna and out to sea. And so the days passed, swimming, sun-bathing, trying our hand at dinghy sailing, and all in the warm sunshine without the need for a stitch of clothing. Well that is except when we moored in a couple of ports: Datcha and Bozburun. Here we indulged in shopping expeditions and enjoyed some restaurant meals ashore. And we haggled over the purchase of a beautiful Turkish rug, a kilim, which now proudly adorns our home. So if you are looking for truly relaxed naturist holiday come aboard the Suzi Anna and enjoy the sea and the sun, beautiful coastal scenery, and Liz's award winning cooking.
