The glorious beaches of the island make Fuerteventura
a popular destination for naturist holidays. Away from the towns and bigger
hotels there is a wonderful tolerance between textiles and naturists on the
vast sandy beaches. Now at Monte Marina in Esquinzo in the south of the island there is excellent dedicated naturist
accommodation. Here there are one or two bedroom apartments with a tropical garden and pool.
We can also offer three textile hotels situated right by the extensive clothes optional beaches. In the south of the island
there is the excellent Esmeralda Beach Hotel at Costa Calma, with immediate access to the beautiful naturist beaches south of Costa Calma, at the northern end of the Sotavento de Jandia beaches which extend for some 12 miles. Opposite the hotel there is a new complex of self catering bungalows with walled gardens ideal for nude sun-bathing, and with the same good access to the clothes optional beach below.
Situated in the middle of the famous "Las Dunas" beach in the north are two hotels. The Tres Islas Palace is very luxurious and quite expensive. It's neighbour the Oliva Beach Hotel is at present being refurbished and will reopen in 2005 on an All Inclusive basis. The clothes optional beaches stretch away for miles, especially to the south of these two hotels.
There are also several apartments and villas
where a naturist life style is normally possible, although some discretion and
consideration should be shown towards other textile residents. Perhaps the most
favoured spot for naturists is El Caleton, one mile from the little village
of El Cotillo. El Caleton is the last building, and beyond there is nothing
but a headland with some beautiful coves and bays ideally suited for walking,
swimming and sun bathing naked. We can also recommend several other villas and
apartments suitable for naturist living.
There is also the new Occidental Grand which has a small dedicated naturist area. It is situated a little beyond the southern end of the Sotavento de Jandia beaches. This large and impressive hotel operates on an All Inclusive basis and so is quite expensive.

Monte Marina ApartmentsThe Monte Marina apartments are in the south east of the island, and have as from 2005 been dedicated to naturist use. They are a short walk from the clothes optional Sotavento de Jandia beach. Clients can also use the adjacent textile Marina Playa Hotel. |

Hotel Playa EsmeraldaThis very elegant hotel, one of the H10 group, is designed around a waterfall feature. It offers an excellent range of textile facilities, and is ideally situated for the Esmeralda Playa clothes optional beach. It is on the outskirts of Costa Calma, in the south east of the island. |

Esmerlada Maris BungalowsThis modern complex is opposite the Hotel Playa Esmeralda and is similarly ideally situated for the Esmeralda Playa clothes optional beach. Although each bungalow has self catering facilities the resort also has a restaurant. The bungalows have walled private patios making them ideal for nude living. |

Hotel Occidental GrandThis very large new hotel operates on an all-inclusive board basis. Among its many facilities it has a small nudist area with a pool and sun bathing area. It is in the south of the island, just a little to the south of the Sotavento de Jandia beaches, near to Morro Jable. |

Hotel Oliva BeachThis hotel, one of the RIU group, is situated among Fuerteventura's famous sand dunes in the north east of the island. A couple of hundred yards south of the hotel you will come to an area of the dune beach used mainly by naturists. The hotel has been recently renovated and operates on an all-inclusive board basis. |

Tres Islas PalaceThe RIU Tres Islas Palace is the more up-market neighbour of the Oliva Beach Hotel. It offers very luxurious facilities, and is the most expensive. Like the Oliva Palace it is well situated for the nude areas of the Las Dunas beaches. |

El CaletonThe El Caleton apartments are in the north west of the island, north of El Cotillo, and enjoy a wonderful position for exploring the remote coast to the north, where as yet there is no development. Although not specifically naturist, these apartments have been used by naturists for many years, and with a little discretion a nude life style is normally possible. |
